Why Missed (and Late) Appointments Hurt Small Clinics

At our small, independently run clinic, every appointment really matters — not just for your health, but for keeping the clinic running.

When someone doesn’t show up, or arrives too late to be seen, it has a bigger impact than most people realize.

What Happens When You Miss or Are Late

  • Wasted time – That appointment could’ve gone to someone else.

  • Lost income – We still have to pay our staff, rent, electricity, and supplies — even if no one’s in the room.

  • Delayed care – You miss the chance to stay on top of your health, and others get pushed back too.

Our Late Policy

We have a 7-minute late policy. If you arrive more than 7 minutes past your scheduled time, we usually need to reschedule you. We know that can be frustrating, but it’s the only way to keep things running on time for everyone else.

Our No-Show Fee

If you miss an appointment without giving prior notice, a $30 no-show fee will be charged.

We don’t like charging it — but unfortunately, no-shows add up. That fee helps us cover basic costs so we can keep serving our community and avoid raising prices for everyone.
