What is a Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse who has earned a graduate or doctoral degree, receiving advanced education and clinical training in a healthcare specialty. NPs provide high-quality, cost-effective care that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of patients and their families. This holistic approach results in high levels of patient satisfaction. NPs aim to treat the whole person rather than just the disease.

Nurse Practitioner: Teri Ourada

Teri Ourada, DNP
Head Nurse Practitioner:

A lifelong advocate for excellence in healthcare, Teri brings a unique blend of discipline, compassion, and expertise to her role. Growing up as a Navy “brat” and later supporting her spouse through Marines and Army service, Teri embodies resilience and adaptability—qualities that define her patient-centered approach.

Austin Peay State University: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN, Honors, 2002)
University of Wyoming: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP, 2021)

With experience spanning Vanderbilt (Nashville, TN), Ft. Campbell, KY, Surprise, AZ, Ft. Bragg, NC, and Raleigh, NC, Teri has honed her skills in diverse settings. Her clinical experiences and specializations included:

Teri thrives outdoors—whether running trails, hiking mountains, camping under the stars, or skiing snowy slopes. Family is her anchor; she cherishes her role as “Gigi” to her grandchild and embraces lifelong learning with the same vigor she brings to patient care.

Medical Assistant: Airieona

Airieona, our compassionate Medical Assistant, brings a wealth of healthcare experience to our team. Originally from Casper, she previously served as a phlebotomist at a hospital, honing her patient-care skills and attention to detail. In our office, Airieona assists with managing medical refill requests, prior authorizations, point of care testing, lab result follow-ups, phone calls, and appointment scheduling—ensuring every patient receives timely and thorough support.

A lifelong learner, Airieona holds a General Health Science degree and is currently in nursing school pursuing an ADN and BSN through a dual program at LCCC and UW. Her dedication to growth and patient advocacy shines in everything she does. When she’s not studying or assisting patients, Airieona enjoys relaxing with her beloved pug, Bean, who keeps her smiling through busy days.

Office manager: Amy

Amy, our detail-oriented Billing and Administrative Coordinator, ensures seamless operations behind the scenes. With expertise in managing billing inquiries, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments, Amy’s organizational skills and friendly voice make her the backbone of our patient experience. Passionate about efficiency and clear communication, she takes pride in keeping our practice running smoothly so our provider can focus on delivering exceptional care. Amy’s dedication to accuracy and warmth ensures every patient feels supported.
